Girly Tattoos: A Journey of Spirituality, Safety, and Science in Tattoo Artistry
Since beginning my tattooing career in 2001, I, Selina Medina, have embraced three core principles that have guided my evolution as an artist and advocate: Spirituality, Safety, and Science. These principles are the foundation of my approach to tattooing and my activism in public health within the tattoo industry.
Spirituality
My work is deeply rooted in the spiritual connections that tattoos can represent, believing that every piece of ink is not just an art form but a profound expression of personal journey and identity.
Safety
As a staunch advocate for safety, I am committed to ensuring that tattooing is performed under the highest standards. This commitment is reflected in my role as a member of the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Professional Tattooists, where I help set safety and professional standards across the industry.
Science
Innovation drives my approach to tattooing, particularly through integrating cutting-edge technologies like nanotechnology to develop smart tattoo inks. This blend of art and science not only enhances the tattooing process but also improves the safety and functionality of tattoo inks
I’m on a mission to raise the bar in tattooing, creating a safe and welcoming space where my clients can confidently experience the art they love. Welcome to Girly Tattoos.
